Previous Church Visits

The first visit of this newly formed group was on a bright, crisp morning in February of 2006. Colin Cant led 25 well wrapped up members on a tour around St Mary's Church at Stow and then moved on to the contrasting style of St Edith's Church at Coates, not far away.

St Mary's is seriously impressive for a village church and part of it has been in existence since before Lincoln Cathedral was built. St Edith's is a much smaller and less imposing building but nonetheless has a long history and some wonderful timber.

During the years since the group started we have visited quite a few churches in Lincolnshire even venturing as far as Old Dalby near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. Some pictures taken of these churches follow. There are lots more than you see and we'll change them and add to them periodically.
